On that basis, I plan to attend my forthcoming interview wearing the clown costume that I inherited from my dear departed Great Uncle who was a big top favourite in the 1950s.
After all, it is completely deranged to discount an applicant for anything because of some superficial article of clothing they’re wearing…
Isn’t it?
]]>We didn’t discriminate against him
because of the watch.
He was otherwise unremarkable in interview and didn’t make the second round.
The watch was the only memorable thing from the interview apart from the fact that he had clearly not prepared well.
And I didn’t value the watch.
I was just aware from the make that it must have been expensive.
]]>That grants wishes?
]]>How do you know it wasn’t just a nervous twitch and nothing to do with trying to show off the watch?
How do you even know if it was expensive?
Unless you’re a great watch connoisseur, there is absolutely zero chance you’d be able to value his watch.
If you are a watch expert, why on earth would discriminate against an interviewee for having a fine watch, which could easily be a memento from a lost relative or just a passion for which he worked hard?
It is completely deranged to discount an applicant for anything because of some superficial article of clothing they’re wearing.
]]>I personally wouldn’t give a monkey, and you should wear the watch with pride.
]]>I choose not to live or work in Birmingham.
]]>did they ask if it was gen and more importantly, did you convert the scheme?
]]>Pics or it didn’t happen!
]]>A genii !?
]]>I wore a dress watch I inherited from my dad throughout applying for pupillage and it gave me quiet confidence and comfort, so there are benefits to it. It could also give the impression you are put together and care about your appearance, which I always valued and think gives a good first impression.
If it is going to cause anxiety and make you self conscious, however, then don’t wear it. It won’t get you through the vac scheme on its own, so consider if it will enhance or detract from the way you can perform or present yourself.
]]>What exactly is Lambo? OED has a single citation for that word which refers to some illegality.
]]>“Just looks like you’re far too rich and privileged”
Welcome to City law my friend!
]]>You’ll look obnoxiously out of touch with reality. Same way you shouldn’t wear Prada shoes, LV belt, etc. Just looks like you’re far too rich and privileged to be capable of functioning in a place where you’ll actually need to work hard.
