Doubt it… I don’t understand how they are retaining / hiring NQs when they’re so far below the market

US presence is impossible for Ashurst without a merger (they don’t have the financial/prestige cache of Freshies to do it organically). It’s likely not going to be a Debevoise, Cleary, Milbank, Gibson Dunn etc. (unless others think otherwise?). Erm, who is out there that makes sense???

The U.S. presence is the missing piece (along with further bolstering its M&A practice).
